Brain and Mind Research Institute
The BMRI was established to integrate clinical and basic neurosciences research in Australia. Through discovery, innovative and integrative research strategies, clinical product development and the application of research initiatives, the BMRI directly benefits people whose lives have been affected by the common and debilitating forms of psychiatric and neurological illness.
The Institute evolved from a vision of one of Australia's leading neuroscientists, Professor Max Bennett in conjunction with colleagues in neurology (Professor John Pollard) and psychiatry (Professor Ian Hickie). The BMRI is located close to the University of Sydney's main campus, at 100 Mallet St, Camperdown.
