Bancroft Prize recipients

The Bancroft Prize winners for 2006 have been announced. Dr Abhilash Pratap Chandra, Dr Julius Geronimo Juarez and Dr Shaun Paul Cordoba will share the $4000 prize.

The Peter Bancroft Prize was founded in 1923 by a bequest of £1000 from the late Louise Bancroft of Brisbane as an annual prize in memory of her husband Peter Bancroft, MB. The prize may be awarded annually by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine to Doctor of Philosophy graduates in the Faculty of Medicine whose thesis has been passed by all three examiners without requiring any amendment.
