Dial up access
Students and members of the University Staff are eligible for low cost internet access from home, a service provided by the University's Information and Communications Technology Helpdesk. Their site has information on its setup and use at IT Assist: University Dialup Service.
To access this service, you will need a UniKey account. UniKey accounts are created automatically for students, and both full and part time staff members. Casual staff members are required to bring Photo ID and a pay form to the Helpdesk in order to have an account created for them. Staff members should consult Staff UniKey Account for information on obtaining their UniKey accounts, while students should follow the instructions on the Student UniKey Account page.
If you contribute to teaching or research at Sydney Medical School, but do not have a staff number, you are also eligible. Complete the Application for Additional Network Facilities (PDF) form, and fax it, along with a letter signed by a Head of Department or supervisor verifying your contribution, to 9351 6004.
