globalHOME
globalHOME is the international health group at the University of Sydney.
With a goal to “Inspire and encourage medical students to promote health opportunities and medical equality globally”, globalHOME was established by University of Sydney medical students in 2006 with the aims of raising awareness, increasing opportunities and inspiring medical students to get involved in International Health.
The members of globalHOME meet regularly and activities to date have focused on Health Advocacy. In 2008, we hope to continue to provide a conduit for students, faculty members and health professionals to access information, attend events and fundraisers, and share their own international health experiences.

MIRAGE (Multi-disciplinary Interest in Rural and General Health Education) was founded in 1995, as a club with a membership that includes a wide range of disciplines and members who are passionate about improving health and education in rural areas. MIRAGE participates in careers expos and rural high school visits around NSW, attends the NSW CrocFest events, and holds an annual Indigenous Health Forum that is open to the public. Importantly, the members of MIRAGE also have a lot of fun with a myriad of social activities spread throughout the year which keep us energised and help to spread the message of Rural Health. |
