Honours in Sydney Medical School for non-MBBS students
There are several types of honours degrees. The type referred to on this page constitutes an additional year of full-time study during which the student conducts a research program and writes a thesis under the supervision of a member of academic staff. There may be a component of coursework as well.
Who can apply?
If you are a current undergraduate student of, or have graduated within the last two years with a bachelor’s degree from, the faculties of Arts (Bachelor of Liberal Studies only), Health Sciences or Science, you may be eligible to enrol in an additional honours year with Sydney Medical School – the perfect start to a medical research career. This applies to students and graduates of all Australian universities.
