Học Mãi Australia Vietnam Medical Foundation
Học Mãi (the Australian Vietnam Medical Foundation) is a not-for-profit organisation that fosters medical education between Australia and Vietnam.
In 1998, the University of Sydney established a medical exchange program with the Hanoi Medical University in Vietnam.
The Học Mãi Foundation was launched at Government House, Sydney in August 2001 and brings together the collective medical knowledge and experience of Australia and Vietnam in an educational partnership.
The Foundation fosters medical education and improves health care in Vietnam through strategies that include:
- Supporting a bilateral exchange of medical students and health professionals between Australia and Vietnam
- Assisting with teaching of doctors and nurses in Vietnam with a Train the Trainer program
- Increasing medical research skills in Vietnam
Học Mãi programs are supported solely by external fundraising or through grants and donations. We hope that the recipients of medical student scholarships will contribute to this fundraising effort.
