Outgoing University of Sydney elective students to Columbia (Dec 2007-Feb 2008)

Four University of Sydney students have been nominated for the elective exchange program in 2007-2008 (Alison Freimund, Emily Gregory-Roberts, Paul Praser & Daniel Sumpton).
The next round of placements for December 2008-February 2009 will be advertised early in 2008 via a bulletin. It will be open to all students regardless of clinical school and country of origin.
Sydney students should not contact course coordinators at Columbia University or they risk jeopardising the exchange agreement. Information about available electives at Columbia can be found on their website.
The Sydney-Columbia exchange agreement allows for a maximum of four students to complete 8 to 12 weeks of clinical or research placements. Tuition fees are waived under the agreement and some subsidised dormitory accommodation may be available between November - April. Travel and living expenses must be borne by students. Students will be required to provide evidence of BCG status and MMR vaccination, along with health insurance. Due to the popularity of Columbia University, no additional students will be accepted (even if tuition fees are offered).
