The Office of Research and Research Training was established in 2008 to better support the Faculty of Medicine in its quest to provide leadership in translating research outcomes into better health for all. It brings together the resources required to support and develop our world class researchers and the means to provide the research training required to create the next generation of research scientists.

This office, in consultation with the Faculty Research Committee, also provides advice to the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine on research matters and is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance the Faculty's research capacity in health and medical research across the University. The office also provides advice and administrative support to researchers.
