Research Supervisor Connect
Research Supervisor Connect (RSC) is a web-based tool for the recruitment of research students (primarily PhD and masters by research) and includes enquiry-management capability.
RSC works like a job-search site for research candidates. The system benefits university staff as well as prospective students, enabling both supervisors and applicants to make more informed choices and streamlining the administration of enquiries.
As well as being an online portal which gives prospective students the power to find their ideal research subject, RSC is backed by an enquiry-management system that allows them to contact the most appropriate academics, via an ‘Opportunity Champion’.
As there are over 40 research institutes affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine, as well as the clinical schools and discipline areas, enquiries are managed locally by RSC Unit Coordinators and Opportunity Champions at each research location.
University of Sydney staff and other eligible members of Faculty (such as clinical title holders and conjoint appointees) who are registered as primary supervisors with the Postgraduate Student Administration Unit may post their research profile and current opportunities on the site and receive enquiries from prospective students. To find out more about RSC and how to enter your supervisor profile and research opportunities, please contact , Communications and Student Recruitment Officer for the Faculty of Medicine.
