Plagiarism

Plagiarism is when you use phrases, sentences and ideas that come from other people without properly acknowledging where you found these phrases, sentences and ideas. Plagiarism is not accepted. All students must make themselves familiar with what constitutes plagiarism, so they can avoid it.

The University's Secretariat, which is responsible for all policies and such things as student discipline and appeals, has a site on plagiarism, including what happens if a student is thought to be plagiarising.

The University Library site also has some teach-yourself skills including one on proper referencing and one on plagiarism and academic honesty.

MBBS students are required to submit their assessments through the Turnitin software to check the originality of their work.
